2024 - Year of opportunity!
As we enter 2024, the UK business world holds its breath- Recession or boom / Political change or unrest??. From an experienced recruiters point of view, I enter 2024 with real optimism- So much has changed in the last few years related to recruitment attitudes and practices. Not all good ,but overall I think there have been some "seismic" shifts that have really changed things for the better
- Companies due to covid have really had to think about how to engage and retain their staff
- Flexible working has become the norm for most and work / life balance has become "real" - Output and productivity are not always measured in set hours
- Companies have embraced diversity and inclusion
- Candidates are now more interested in the fringe benefits a company can offer. It isn't all about the salary. Again- this makes companies think more about their people and what really makes them motivated employees.
There is always a counter to these points, but I think the future looks much brighter for employee well being in 2024!
